The 2022 Alumni Poker Game will be held at the House on Saturday September 24th. Seating will take place at 2:30pm so please show up at least 15 minutes early.

The tournament will be a 2 Round format. Depending on the number of registrations, the top one or two players from each table will advance to the final game. Winner Take All.

Registration Fee is $100. $50 will go towards the pot and $50 will go towards the Kitchen Renovation Project. Cash Only Event.

Gio’s/Benny’s/Both? will be served as well as soft drinks.

The brothers of the Sigma Chapter will be holding the Alumni Thanksgiving Dinner and Football game on Sunday November 28th. Kickoff is at 1:00pm with the Alumni dinner being served at 4:00pm. Our ability to cook at the house is limited so this will be a potluck style event with the actives providing the Turkey and Ham. Brothers of the Sigma Advisory board would like you to join us for an open buffet, cocktail style beer/wine/mimosas and cigars on the Hudson waterfront to reminisce and share some of the most memorable stories with recent and long-time alumni alike.

We'd like to share and celebrate the incredible progress being made over the past few years regarding Chapter House renovations, alumni involvement/events, advisory board changes and brotherhood activities.

We will be holding our first in a series of Alumni/Active work weekends on Saturday November 21st, 2020. The committee for the Chapter Room Restoration Project met this past Saturday at the House and conducted a thorough walkthrough of the entire basement. To restore the chapter room correctly we will need to completely gut and rebuild it. Most of the interior fixtures can be saved, refurbished, and reinstalled. We would like to complete deconstruction in one day so we can quickly move on to phase 2, upgrades to critical infrastructure.

We’re asking for 10 to 15 volunteers to meet at the house on Saturday November 21st. We will not be holding the alumni football game or thanksgiving dinner this year mostly because of covid but we also felt this would be a good use of everyone’s time.

Phase 1 – Deconstruction (November 2020)
1. Remove benches & ceremonial
infrastructure. Store in the
basement.
2. Remove and discard the bench
platforms.
3. Remove light fixtures and set aside
for refurbishing.
4. Decommission electrical wiring.
5. Remove drop ceiling tiles. Store tiles
that can be salvaged and discard the
rest.
6. Inspect drop ceiling frame.
7. Inspect Foyer sub flooring.
8. Deep clean the room as best we can.

Tools/Supplies we may need; (not sure what the house does or does not have)

-Crowbars, prybars, hammers, wrenches
-Drill, stripped head removal tool, reciprocating saw, circular saw
-Shop Vac, Garbage Bags, Cleaning rags or Sponges, Ammonia/Bleach

-Tools and materials to decommission the electric wiring

-Flood lights or Battery Powered Area Light
